We are ChiByDesign, a Chicago-based design firm committed to disrupting and dismantling racism. By co-creating interventions with the people and communities most harmed and impacted, they have the agency and autonomy to meet their unique needs and, ultimately, create the equitable future we all deserve.
Our Story
The design industry is not holistically representative of the world we live in. Our founder and CEO, Chris Rudd, saw this and made a commitment to disrupt the homogeny with ChiByDesign—a Black-owned, people-of-color-led firm implementing co-design and anti-racism principles and methodologies.
Our Services
We educate and equip organizations to be anti-racist and trauma-responsive as they engage with and serve communities of color.
Our Collaborations
Our partnerships help us to understand the complex needs of our co-designers and, with this understanding, empower and equip them with the tools and resources to create new experiences and improve their quality of life.
